Product Description

Designed for high-performance mountain riding, the Float E2 MtnPro Vest offers full protection to the chest, ribs, and back – and now includes our Float E2 airbag system. Our new Float E2 MTNPRO airbag vest uses an Alpride supercapacitor to store energy that powers the compressor upon deployment. Supercapacitors store and release energy based on magnetic energy rather than chemical reaction: This means their performance is much more reliable in cold temperatures. For the same reason, the energy stored in a supercapacitor releases faster when it’s activated for deployment. The E2 Float MTNPRO Vest is our dedicated sled-specific airbag vest for mountain snowmobiling. Gearing up is easy with this all-in-one, lightweight breathable protective vest featuring built-in integration for a Tracker avalanche transceiver and BC Link radio. Other features include integrated low profile pack to carry avalanche gear and a few other essentials. Full front, side and back protection with 1mm of hard shell ABS sandwiched between two layers of PE foam. Oval “ergo” trigger is less likely to snag on trees than round or T-shaped handles.

Mission
To provide floatation in the event of an avalanche as well as trauma protection at the core of being human...

Safety, protection, and organization...in that order. Backcountry Access hits a home run with this piece of multi-functional equipment. Having an avy bag is a no-brainer for the serious player but the added protection of a vest from the wayward branch or mis-judged impact can be an injury-minimizing bonus. In addition to shovel and probe storage, the ability to store your beacon and radio functionally is a testament to the ingenuity going on at BCA in Boulder, Colorado. Nuts and bolts aside, the biggest compliment I can give this product is how the vest distributes the weight across your shoulders. A traditional pack can be comfortable under normal use but when you start hucking cornices or landing from jumps, strapped packs loaded with survival necessities can put the hurt on. Tons of storage, multiple compartments, and hydration system ready. As BCA has typically sold out of these the past 3 years, it's safe to say they work. We rate this product 5 out of 5 stars. Well done BCA!
